Hearty Wild Alaskan Salmon Chowder

1 lb. Wild Alaskan Coho Salmon or Halibut Fillet
1 large Onion chopped fine
1 stalk Celery chopped fine
1 cube Butter
1 can Cream of Corn
1 bottle Clam Juice (optional)
3 cups Milk
2-3 Bay Leaves
2 cans Cream of Celery Soup
1 tbsp. Garlic Salt or Garlic Pepper
1 can New Potatoes

  1. Grill, fry or bake salmon fillets until very firm.
  2. “Overcook” would be my description of this process. Never ever overcook fish except for this chowder.
  3. In a large pot sauté onions & celery in butter until tender.
  4. Add soup, milk, clam juice, cream corn, garlic salt or pepper and bay leaves.
  5. Heat slowly so as not to burn.
  6. Mix steadily until smooth.
  7. Add potatoes (with water) and salmon.
